We had a Labor Day on July 4th..

David has been wanting to clear the fence line at the church for some time. The over growth has made it a hazard pulling out of the parking lot. We weren't with extended family for the 4th so we decided to go work up at the church. It was hard work but very rewarding just knowing it was improving our place of worship. God deserves our best.

Cameron turns 16...Nooooo he just turned 12

On our way to celebrate
The England family met us at Five Guys for supper and we hung out all evening together.

Being with friends is what made the day just what the 12 yr. old requested :-)

Thank you Englands for helping make his day the special day that is was.

Growing up ...

Turning 10 means lots of things.
You are finally allowed to mow the lawn like you have been wanting to for years!
You can wear your Mother's outdoor shoes and they actually fit.
You are still a kid but the expectations/responsibilities are changing.
You enjoy playing with your baby dolls and that's okay because you are only 10.
Being a Mother and taking care of babies sounds like so much fun.
You can spend $1 and are very excited.
Sarah Brooke is our 10 yr. old.
We love her to pieces. She is a delight to our hearts.
She has a giving heart, creative mind and a sweet spirit.
Happy 10th Birthday Sarah Brooke!

When life gets busy...

this is what I long to do. How about you?

Sometimes I'm torn between responsibilities and the pleasure of finishing a story.
Have you been caught up in a story lately?

I have been inspired by several blogs lately

Moss lettering is very popular this season. I just loved it so I had to make me one.
These decorative balls were not an original idea of mine either. I would love to credit the blog where I first saw them but I can't find it again.
They sure were fun to make though.

Disclaimer--this mirror has been cleaned and cleaned and I can't seem to get the smears off :-) grr.

It is the simple things in life that can sometimes bring the biggest smiles in life. I'm smiling, are you?

My how time flies......

I came across what we called Camerons take home outfit. This outfit was purchased back in the day when we shopped at Babies R Us. We had to have just the right outfit to bring him home in. Our precious first born is growing up, people!!!! He is only 11 and is almost as tall as me. I haven't measured us in a couple weeks so it may be that I'm only taller than him on Sundays when I'm wearing my heels.

He may outgrow everything we bought him to wear, was it just last week, but he will never outgrow my heart. Cameron is a normal 11 yr. old with the body of a teenager (his comment when we were trying to figure out how much medicine he should have since he isn't 12 yet, ha). He can listen to a movie and repeat back to you the funny phrases, memorization seems to come easy for him. His grades are very high and overall a very well behaved boy. I'm glad he is mine. Most of all I'm glad he has a heart for God. That is what will ultimately shape his life. I wonder what he will become......If I blink he will be all grown up.
