What does Adventures in Odyssey and drawing have to do with Cameron?

EVERYTHING! He absolutely loves Odyssey. He listens to it while he is getting dressed for school, when he arrives home in the afternoon and while he goes to sleep at night.
Lucky for me, he likes to draw while he listens. I picked up a book from the library on drawing dogs and this is his rendition of some of them.

Just doodling!

For obvious reasons this is a pictureless post..

Our dear 5 yr. old still calls for me to come wipe her. I said to her "am I going to still be wiping you when you are 7" and she said "no, when I'm 30". Another day I told her to first try it herself before she calls me and she said "not when I'm dirty". Oh me!

On another note: We had company last evening on a whim and that required a scurry of cleaning up. Cameron was responsible for their bathroom and after quizing him if it was ready he said "yea, I just put everything in the tub". He did not get that technique from me!!!!

I'm off to go clean that bathroom :-)

Okay so I'm a little late...

I started this post on time but then life got in the way :-) It is just a pictoral of why I love David. Our love started very young. He is still the one that I prefer to spend time with. His work the last few years have allowed him to be in and out of the house during the day. I love that and I miss him when meetings don't allow him the time to. I have great respect for him and his dedication to God in the midst of our journey of faith. The pictures will reveal a bit of his sense of humor--he keeps us laughing. I loved him then and Now!

My Valentine

I was invited to take a quiz over on Facebook this morning...

After several questions they calculated my answers and came up with...

You are most like MARY MAGDALENE
She was forgiven much & loved much, and you certainly love much! You are a passionate person, who loves God & life. You have a tendency to count your blessings and be very grateful, even in small things. You are an overcomer, and will not allow any life circumstances to hold you down.

I was a little surprised that it was Mary. Her description is flattering I must admit. However, it only lists the positives. If I were to guess on my own what Bible Lady, I would say I'm very much like Martha. I'm curious if it is coincidence that my personality parallels the Bible character or did I subconsciously pattern my life after her. If you have a Bible name are you similar? If you don't have a Bible name then you can take the quiz below and find out what name you are most like. Be sure and let me know :-)

And now make your own Quiz!

A look back at Ashley's life so far..

Ashley turns 5 on Saturday. That's my baby!! She has been such a delight to our family. She makes us laugh. She is the one to blame and more than likely responsible for the crime

February 4, 2009

She is the playmate and willing agent to do about whatever Sarah Brooke dreams up. She is the little sister to her BIG brother Cameron. She's a loved little girl. She loves Jesus but doesn't want to go to Heaven--does not understand death and the rewards of a Christian yet :-) She can be painfully shy at times and as some of the pictures reveal, very busy being bad. She's our girl and we love her to pieces.

Church Chilli Supper

Our church rented a clubhouse for our second annual chilli supper night. It was a warm, comfortable setting.
The boys enjoying the comfy chairs.
Everybody filling up on chilli
Hmm...I wonder where he learned to play.
They look like they know what they are doing
We had group games and board games. Group game: we passed around the name of everyone in the circle (you weren't to have your own name) then the person to the left of the empty chair called out a boy/girl name in an attempt to try and get 4 boys/girls in a row. Example: Cassie had Pastor Mike's name so when his name was called, up popped Cassie to come set in the empty chair. We had alot of fun with it. The girls ruled on that game. Could be that the boys hearts were over at the pool table. Michelle brought the game Imaginiff. That was lots of fun. We kept switching up the names for variety. It's a good test of whether or not you know a person very well.
Good times!
