I came across what we called Camerons take home outfit. This outfit was purchased back in the day when we shopped at Babies R Us. We had to have just the right outfit to bring him home in. Our precious first born is growing up, people!!!! He is only 11 and is almost as tall as me. I haven't measured us in a couple weeks so it may be that I'm only taller than him on Sundays when I'm wearing my heels.
He may outgrow everything we bought him to wear, was it just last week, but he will never outgrow my heart. Cameron is a normal 11 yr. old with the body of a teenager (his comment when we were trying to figure out how much medicine he should have since he isn't 12 yet, ha). He can listen to a movie and repeat back to you the funny phrases, memorization seems to come easy for him. His grades are very high and overall a very well behaved boy. I'm glad he is mine. Most of all I'm glad he has a heart for God. That is what will ultimately shape his life. I wonder what he will become......If I blink he will be all grown up.

Florida memories
The day we were at the beach for pictures it was very windy. It was wonderful though to be out experiencing warmer weather after such a cold winter.
We love being at the beach.
We even had a picnic with Mark's family.
Good Times!

My guy...
This is my guy and it is my blog so I will be gushing a bit on how I feel about him. I fell in love very young (married at 19). When his family came to town to Pastor our church he was not what I wanted. I thought I wanted a tall, dark headed and of course good looking kind of man (I was all of 14). Looking back on that now those ideas seem rather silly. Many years later, when he is in a group of tall, dark headed guys, he stands out with his strawberry blonde hair and literally makes my heart skip. He has the best personality and is a man of character. Who could ask for anything more. He's my guy and I'm in love!

The car wash just down the road from us...
David said this car wash had just been purchased after being vacant all summer. Wouldn't that be a bummer?
I wasn't able to get a pic of the church yard across the street before they cleaned it up today but it was a mess from the insulation on this roof.
I could not see the wind yesterday, but I could sure feel it. This reminds me of my relationship with God. I cannot see Him yet I can feel and see the evidence of Him working in my life.

Riley Festival parade
It was a beautiful day to be out and about.
That is Mike Shephard in the polo shirt
The sea of Shephard for Sherrif shirts. David and Cameron are in there somewhere. Can you spot anybody else you know?

I've been married half my life today
Today is my 19th wedding anniversary. David and I went to the Indiana State museum to view the Titanic exhibit. When we arrived we were photographed in front of a green screen which allowed them to place us on the main staircase of the Titanic. We were given a boarding pass with a passenegers name on it, which class they were traveling and where they were headed. I traveled with my husband and son and 2 servants. David's boarding pass had him traveling alone. It was alot of reading, several glass showcases with salvaged artifacts but a little hard to get the real oppulance of the ship. They had a "glacier" that you could touch. Near the end of the tour was a memorial wall where you found out if you were a survivor or not. I found out that "I" survived along with my servant but my husband, son and his servant perished. David figured he probably wouldn't have survived being a single traveler but we found his name on the survivor list.
We ventured into the Odd Indiana exhibit area and found some intersting things. This canoe is supposed to be tricky to get into but David had no problem
I decided to try on a bustle. What were the ladies thinking---adding girth to their backsides. Supposedly the bustle allowed the fabric to drape nicely. Whatever! They also had hair art. People saved their hair for making things and to add height to their hairdo. They had an original perm machine. Scary looking.
I love this time of year. It was a beautiful day to be out and about with my husband, my best friend.
