A day at the zoo with Sarah Brooke

Sarah Brooke came home thrilled with the announcement of a field trip. We put it on the calendar and counted down the days. It would be her first time on a school bus.

At the zoo with Sarah Brooke

There was an excellent response from the parents which meant all I had to look after was Sarah Brooke. The zoo was very crowded and made it difficult to stay with her class friends. I didn't mind so much since it is rare that we get to spend one on one time like that. I told David that it would have been horrible to have planned a family day at the zoo and then pull up to see all those school buses. It was a real privilege to get to spend the day with her.

It was a good day!

Mother's Day is next to the importance of birthdays right? Each one of the kids had something special and handmade for me. Their excitement was contagious. The festivities started Thursday evening with our church ladies meeting up at a restaurant here in town. I think it is a 5 star restaurant. The setting is elegant, the meal served so gourmet and the fellowship made for a delightful evening.

Mother's Day 2009

Sunday morning the church passed out roses to each of the Mother's. David fixed a delicious meal and I took a nice long nap. Can't ask for much more.

I'm also blessed with a warm, energetic Mother and a kind, thoughtful Mother-in-law. They both bring so much happiness to their families. I'm watching them and I'm trying to be like them. I love you both!!!

We went with our church group to the Creation Museum over in Kentucky

The day turned out to be beautiful. We had so much fun being with our church friends. They are the best. Not everybody was able to go though. Maybe next time.
Danny and Ronda organized the day for us so with his Buckeye roots it was mandatory :-) that we eat at LaRosa's. I didn't see anybody complaining. It was really good, sweet sauce and all. We finished up the the day at Graeters for some delicious ice cream. Fun, Fun! Thanks Englands!

I believe I was on a search for spring when the whole pizza questionaire interupted..

Aiken, South Carolina is the town where my parents and brother have found to settle into. It is a beautiful, old town with a variety of shops. So since it was "spring" we went window shopping. The crew of shoppers. Don't be amazed we only went inside a pet store and ice cream soda shop but check out the beautiful flowers in the back ground. Perfect spring treat! Hey, we found some flowers at the library. Yes! I have found SPRING and the colors are beautiful.

I need some help...

Tonight we all made our own personal pizzas. Would you let me know which pizza looks the best? I wish you could judge them on flavor but we will have to settle for appearance only. As we were making them the bragging became over the top as to who's pizza was going to be the best so I need your help dear readers in settling this tough decision.

Our trip to S.C. continued and my search for spring

Mother and Daddy bought a double wide to be moved to the property they have been clearing. We dropped by to take a look since it hasn't been able to be moved just yet. It is really nice and roomy.

Can't wait to see it out on the property

Then we headed out to take a look at all the hard work Mother, Daddy and Phil have been doing to clear the land. Cameron is sitting on the root of a big pine tree that Phil managed to dig up.

Hanging out in the clearing

Only Mother and Daddy would think to rig up a necessary seat. Pretty nifty.

Cameron and Ashley checking out the gully on the neighbors property.

I have more to show you but it will have to be continued for now.

We found very little spring but lots of family time..

We headed to David's parents as the first stop on our search for spring. We had a relaxing time. The weather was pretty on Monday so we thawed out a bit. I didn't get pictures but my mother -in-law had their house all decorated for spring. Bunnies and eggs everywhere. Ashley made several meals out of the chocolate eggs which made her bounce around like a bunny. It was nice to attend church with family and to see some of my friends there. When we left we didn't realize that we would be back later in the week. I'll tell you about that later. Thank you Mom and Dad for a wonderful time at your place.
