After taking down the Christmas decorations...

The house needed some warmth and charm. I'm an amateur when it comes to "knowing" how. I don't know what you would even call my style of decorating (anybody care to label me :) but I had fun and isn't that what it is all about? I went about the house looking for a new combination of things for the piano. The flower bouquet was flowers harvested from another floral arrangement.

This tea for one is on the coffee table in the living room. It makes me feel all cozy just looking at it. This lonely tea cup and saucer is the start to a tea cup collection :) The basket on the piano and this wicker tray were made by my parents. Indeed treasures of mine.

This is my night stand. The red floral arrangement is also "new".

I wasn't done with my snowmen so I created a fun winter display for the mantel.

There you go! Just having a little fun. It is amazing how motivating it is to keep things picked up when stuff is "new".

I don't like labeling people, but I must say it looks nice.

It's so much fun to do a little redecorating after Christmas! I'm getting ready to paint the entire downstairs this winter.

I have that new decoration bug too, in fact I went shopping in my basement last night...the finds were not earth shattering:) My house just feels bare and colorless with all the Christmas decor down! Would love to see you all!

That does look cozy and comfortable for these cold winter evenings. I love those baskets. And you said your parents made them? What talent! So you got your creative mind honestly. I think your new decor looks terrific....bette

Funny--I just said the other day that every January I get the urge to redecorate something! This time I think it will be my bedroom! Now if I can just find the time and money!

It looks great! Who cares what your style is? If it suits you, then why try to label it?

I love your "tea for one".

Martha, Your decor is beautiful. See how creative you are! For some reason, I can't get another comment to post to this, so I'll try again. Have a fun day.
