I just might be a traitor...

Have you ever spent 379.34 at CVS? Well, I did last year. That sounds like alot of money but the value of what I got would have been out of pocket was 1,325.94. This translates as me "working" the deal; stacking coupons and taking advantage of Extra Care Bucks. It has been a fun challenge for me to see how much I could get for just a little bit of money. Unfortunatly the CVS coupons have not been as frequent lately which doesn't make the deals quite as sweet and it seems like they are always out of the sale items. I have been thinking alot about learning how the deals work at Walgreens.
I went last evening and came home with the items in pic above for a total of $1.01. I was also given a register reward for $1 to spend next time. Now that's more like how it used to be at CVS. The cool thing was their sale items were in stock too.

Way to go Martha, good for you! I get frustrated also, when I have my coupons all sorted and my list made to the "T" and then the sale items are gone. I do like how Walgreens do theirs too. xorachel

P.S.

Somehow the wording on the previous comment seems a little messed up and odd and all tangled up...well, hopefully you know what I mean!

AMAZING savings, Martha! :) Way to go!(I think that you should take the 1,000 dollars that you saved~~and go splurge on yourself! Now doesn't that sound fun?)
You always "inspire" me to do the CVS savings...I am not sure where the breakdown happens! LOL! See ya tonight!

You go girl! I have been working Walgreens too. If you do the rebates have them put it on the gift card and you get an exrat 10% and you do it all online.(it says mail in but its not) One thing that I have learned is that you cant use register rewards to buy items that generate register rewards. So I use my register rewards to buy stuff that gives a rebate and then use my gift card to buy stuff that generates register rewards. R U confused yet? LOL call me. I love walgreens just as much as CVS.
